Labor Council Endorses Single Payer Universal Health Care Recognizing that working families are waging an increasingly difficult struggle to win or keep good health care, the York Adams County Central Labor Council urges the passage of HR 676. The bill, sponsored by Congressman John Conyers and 90 co-signers and known as ‘Expanded and Improved Medicare for all” would cover every person in the U.S. for all necessary medical care. HR 676 would save billions annually by eliminating the high overhead and profits of the private insurance industry.
